Dave Murphy builds a great home and uses outstanding subs. Several reasons why we chose Dave to build our home. Firstly, we wanted a builder familiar with the area. Secondly, we wanted a builder who would be at the site every day to insure the subcontractors were doing what they needed to be doing and to insure our plans were being followed. Thirdly, we wanted a builder who was respected by other contractors and homeowners.

Dave Murphy fulfilled each of requirements. I mentioned earlier that Dave uses outstanding sub-contractors, I will mention those who I feel went above and beyond to meet our needs. Joe Schuff poured our slab, driveway and balcony. We’ve always wanted unstained sealed floors. Joe did an outstanding job. Mike Cress and his crew did the framing. Not only did Mike do a great job, but when we wanted something changed, he ALWAYS had a great idea which transferred into a super project. Eric Weber and his crew from API installed a metal roof which is just stunning! G&G Electric did all the wiring and insured that each outlet, switch, light and fans were located exactly where we wanted. Rey Espinosa and his painters were more than agreeable to use the exterior paint we wanted which was based on a Consumer Reports paint recommendation. Plus, Rey’s crew did an outstanding job of prepping and painting the exterior and interior of our home. Scott Davis’ crew (4-D Construction and Septic) had a most difficult place to set our septic system, but really did well. Also, Scott steered us in the right directions for a water conditioning system. JR Vasquez did the spray insulation which was most interesting to watch, plus we can already tell how well that type of insulation keeps energy cost down. Wayne Milsap and his Trim crew were simply outstanding and most accommodating to changes we made during the construction. The wood work compliments the style of the house. Our irrigation system was installed by Chad Gehrke Pro-Scapes. WOW, what a system! His guys were very accommodating to some changes I made at the last moment and are quick to resolve an issue. Rex Wallace Bug Blasters made our home safe from pests, and even sprayed my trees to protect us from those nasty asp caterpillars. Lastly, David Schuff has been instrumental in helping me with drainage issues. He was there when we needed him most!

So, if you’re thinking about building in the area, I would highly recommend Dave Murphy. Anybody can build a house … but Dave builds homes!
